Anorexic Leopard Gecko

FIRESHEEP - Hack Facebook accounts, Twitter, Hotmail, etc with a simple click. Google Chrome

Firesheep is an extension for Firefox (Windows, Mac OS X) that makes us extremely easy something that was possible before, but surely you have not tried. I'm talking to capture packets on a public network to steal third sessions. When installed, it will be alone in the sidebar to hear interesting facts that will come, and when you find one with session data will show its name and photo.

chilling thing is that from there you only need to double click to rob ourselves of Google, Facebook, Twitter, Flickr or Windows Live. This fully automated process is the best way increase awareness to ask the important services provided using encrypted connections. Where once was available to anyone with minimal technical expertise on the subject, now anyone can.

To work, this extension requires you to be connected to a public wireless network and open, as are enjoyed by some airports, cafes, hospitals, universities and other public buildings. Obviously if you have protected the privacy of your home network do not know what you're waiting. This extension adds support for nearly 30 social sites and even allows you to write plugins to add the sites you want. After trying on my network insecure college, I have to say it works eerily well.

What can we do to avoid being spied on public networks? The best solution is to not use them, but if we are in a hurry should wherever possible https versions of the pages you visited. To give us a little life, we have another extension for Firefox called HTTPS Everywhere. Basically when we visit an unsafe mode service and know that we can use it safely, we are redirected to the encrypted version. It works only on certain key sites such as Google, Facebook or Twitter.

operation is necessary for installation of Winpcap in the system.
