In 1995, with the support of the Missouri Botanical Garden, was published LATMOSS , the catalog of neotropical mosses. During the past fifteen years this database is continually updated based on available taxonomic publications. Publications floristic, though important, have been used with reservation as they want to have records sanctioned by specialists in most cases.
